About Newport Institute for Young Adults – Southern California

Newport Institute is a group of healing centers across the country that are based on scientific evidence and work to change the lives of young adults and their families and loved ones who are struggling with mental health problems and co-occurring disorders, like eating disorders and drug abuse. We help young adults up to the age of 28 by giving their families more power, working with clinical professionals, and giving them support at this important time in their lives.

Our residential facility team of mental health leaders and addiction treatment professionals includes psychiatrists, psychologists, family therapists, eating disorder therapists, nurse practitioners, counselors, art therapists, music therapists, adventure therapists, registered dietitians, nutritionists, teachers, and private tutors. This list of experts from all over the world with a wide range of degrees and experience is growing.

Every client has a multidisciplinary treatment plan that is made just for them by experts who are the best in their fields. We use tried-and-true methods and data that has been checked by a third party. We also use new ways of treating dual diagnoses in young adults that take into account their complexity.

We have a wide range of programs, from inpatient to outpatient, as well as a virtual outpatient program and a strong Alumni Program for people who have been through treatment. We take care of the physical, mental, social, educational, and spiritual needs of young adults and their families at Newport Institute.

We use tried-and-true methods while also coming up with new ways to treat people with dual diagnoses in young adults. Our experts use a wide range of clinical and experiential therapies to treat each part of a young adult’s developing self.
