About Butterfly House

Our Mission is to provide a safe, sober residence for women in recovery from alcohol or other drug dependencies while introducing sober-living skills, peer-to-peer fellowship and support, and educational experiences that will aid them in the transition back into their families and communities. Butterfly House provides opportunities for accountability and responsibility in addition to serving as a “bridge” between inpatient treatment, incarceration or homelessness, and independence in the community.

Everyone must maintain full-time employment, complete daily chores, complete drug education, relapse prevention studies, and participate in regular community service activities. Residents meet with their sponsor at least one time per week and attend daily 12 Step Meetings. Practical Life Skill activities include among other things, goal setting and practicing time management, money management and budgeting, gardening and food preservation, and house and yard maintenance. We feel that Butterfly House is in the perfect location, adjacent to the St. Croix River and near some of the best attractions that our area of Wisconsin has to offer.
